Why Proper Instruction Matters for First-Time Paddle Boarders

Your paddle doesn’t go that way, you should wear a leash when you are out here, No PFD ? Well the law now states that you can’t do that. It almost seems like the parallels, are as if you are driving a car the wrong way down a one way. Sure people have done it, most of the time they get away with it too, but not this time, the cops show up, you hit another vehicle.

Proper instruction goes a long way. One of the biggest things I hear when I instruct paddlers is “wow its so much easier when I do it the correct way.”how come I am moving so fast. That because you are using bigger muscles than just your arms, you are paddling efficiently. 

Over the past few year there havre been more and more death because of improper use paddling equipment just the other day I was down on the lake  for 45 min. 3 other paddle boarders no leash no pfd. 10-15km wind 1-2ft swell.Wind coming from the west blowing east. Intermediate to advanced conditions  +25 sun.

Not many people I know can handle themself in such conditions. It takes knowledge of how to paddle affectively to even have fun in this conditions. 

Yes I have strong options about this topic, Maybe one day it will be like driving a car without a seat belt we all did it but we now know how dangerous it was.
